Health and Wellbeing Seminar 2019

Tuesday 12th February 2019

Ward Hadaway, Newcastle Premier Health and Wellbeing Works are holding their second event on Tuesday 12th February in Newcastle.

This event is the second, in what will be a regular calendar of events, centered around Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace. The first event in September 2018 stimulated attendees to think differently about Health & Wellbeing and explored why employers should invest in Health & Wellbeing and what is in it for them and their staff.  It was a great success.

These events provide a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the topic and share experiences, opinions and insights about Health & Wellbeing in a relaxed environment under the Chatham House Rules, with the aim of improving Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace right across the North East.

Ian Seddon, Senior Facilities Manager at Manchester Metropolitan University, will talk about the successful Wellbeing Project implemented in his department of 300 staff, where he increased productivity and reduced costs by £600k.

Vicky Maughan, HR Manager at Calsonic Kansei, will talk about the drivers and intention behind implementing a health and wellbeing strategy in the manufacturing workplace.

Each of the three partner businesses will also speak at this event to provide their views on how to achieve real change in health and wellbeing in the workplace, looking at it from three different perspectives.
